Who am I?

I am Delphine LESTAVEL – MEILLASSOUX.
I’ve been immersed in the world of decoration and beauty since childhood.

It all started during my childhood; I grew up in an old 17th-century coaching inn, steeped in history, in the style of the old Lille stock exchange. This remarkable setting fostered in me a strong attraction to the Arts, and particularly to Interior Design.

Naturally, I pursued studies in interior design and spatial planning at SAINT LUC in TOURNAI (BELGIUM). There, I gained theoretical and practical knowledge, but also and most importantly, I developed my creativity, an essential quality for my current profession.

Following my studies and after five years of rich experience in consulting and sales at MAGITTE D’HELLEMMES, a furnishing fabric store, I decided to go out on my own. In November 1999, I created my own company, COULEURS SOLEIL.
For 15 years, I offered my clients unique decoration solutions, tailored to their style. Initially, my work was primarily focused on furnishing fabrics. Gradually, over time and with specific requests, I began to offer more comprehensive services: color selection, furniture arrangement, design of custom furniture and closets, spatial planning, and the organization and execution of complete projects…
In fact, I constantly adapt to my clients’ needs. I surrounded myself with a team of experienced and highly professional craftsmen.

Between 2013 and 2015, a battle with cancer forced me to take a break. This led me to close COULEURS SOLEIL.

In 2015, my husband and I moved into a lovely longère in Beuvry-La-Forêt, where we are very happy and feel at home. It was then time to reinvent my professional career, or at least, my way of working.

We then decided to share the joy of living in this house with passing travelers by starting a bed and breakfast business.
Concurrently, loyal clients from the “Couleurs Soleil” era reached out to me for my services. The satisfaction of bringing well-being and happiness, along with the personal and professional joy of designing, creating, and realizing atmospheres that reflect my clients’ style, quickly prompted me to resume my work as an interior designer in addition to running my guest rooms. A new decorating adventure could then begin…
